John began his music career with Canopy Music for Jimmy Webb, worked with The Fifth Dimension, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Thelma Houston. Joined Hemdale, signings included Yes, Black Sabbath. Became head of United Artists Music U.K. signed Abba and ELO and many others, set up first UK pub Co for Bertelsmann Group
(BMG), Interworld (1977). Formed his own consultation and publishing company (1982).
Repped Tina Turner in the U.K., managed and/or published Tommy Boyce, Hal David,
John Denver, Davy Jones, Randy Edelman, Tom Paxton and Marvin Gaye. Produced
albums and soundtracks for Disney, American Greetings, Parker Brothers. Was on
the production team of the biggest live productions of the time Elton John live in Central Park . Produced hit children projects including Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Kids. Spent a year producing the first major "pop" tour of India. Joined CBS Songs in
US as Vice President (1984). With partner the late Joe Raposo formed MPI, managed
Sesame Street music catalog plus Sesame Street records, signed DC comics, Marvel,
Archie and Care Bears. Produced music for many productions including: Shining Time Station, (Thomas The Tank Engine) Madeline, Pippi Longstocking, Barbie Country album. Was personal Consultant for American Greetings, Hearst Entertainment, Cherry Lane
Music, Braun Media, Altman Films, Zomba Entertainment, International Music Factory,
Digicast and METV. Became VP Acquisitions, Ten Strike/Sonopress, a Bertelsmann
Company. From 2006-2008 was Chairman Times Square Arts Center management.
John has been Owner of Audio Visual Resources for over 10 years. Presently board
member of RockMeTV. Chairman of RADD (Recording Artists, Actors and
Athletes Against Drunk Driving). A voting member of The National Academy of Popular
Music, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and Variety Club
